This article does not apply to people living in Northern Ireland, where the rules are slightly different.
Prior to Jan. 1, 2021, if you bought goods online from European Union countries, there were usually no additional charges on top of the cost of the item and any postage and packing charges.
If you bought goods online from outside the European Union, including countries such as China and the U.S., you could face additional costs, including import duties and value-added tax (VAT). However, there was an exception for low-value goods.
For goods arriving in the UK on or after Jan. 1, 2021, the rules have changed, not only for goods from EU countries, but also for goods from non-EU countries. Indeed, as a result of leaving the EU, the UK now has the ability to independently negotiate terms of trade with non-EU countries.
If you now order items shipped from outside the UK, in certain circumstances you will have to pay some or all of the following after you pay for your order, even if the website offers "Free Shipping" or appears to be based in the UK (because the order may in fact be fulfilled from abroad):
-Customs Rights
-Import VAT
-Treatment or processing costs.
The result of all this is unexpected bills and/or possibly less choice. The most important message is not to be surprised - check for additional costs so that you know exactly how much the goods will cost and can make an informed decision about whether to proceed with your purchase.
In the rest of this article, we explain more about the different costs so you understand what to look out for.
What are import duties and VAT?
These are both taxes on the value of goods. The idea behind this is to raise the cost of imported goods to the same level as those produced in the UK, so that competition remains fair.

Netherlands: We try to deliver your package within 1 or 2 working days. Keep in mind that there may be a delay with holidays.

The cap of the Woed caps are made of cork. If the cap has become dirty you can clean it with a damp cloth. If the fabric has become dirty, you can also clean it with a damp cloth or dip it in water. You can also use our Woed cap washer to wash the cap. It can easily go into the dishwasher. Keep in mind, when you clean the caps, the cork may become discolored.

You have your cap in and you see wrinkles at the cork flap. This is normal.

The valve is not glued, so the cork layer has not come loose. The wrinkle may have come because the valve was slightly bent, causing a wrinkle. You can try to iron the flap flat. This makes the wrinkles go away.

Adult caps are approximately 52 cm minimum in circumference and 60 cm maximum in circumference.

children's caps are approximately 47 cm minimum in circumference and 53 cm maximum in circumference.

Because it is a natural product, sometimes there may be color differences or imperfections on our products. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this as it is usually in the wood or cork.

Yes, after payment the product will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL. After DHL has accepted the package a track and trace code will be sent to your e-mail address.
