About Enox

Iain Spanhak, I am a New Zealand artist, designer and illustrator.

Inspiration

I describe my work as a mix of urban contemporary and pop art, inspired by different media, such as graffiti art, pop culture, 1980s cartoons and Japanese kawaii characters. With my art, I want to inspire others, bring positivity and allow them to escape from the stress of everyday life for a while, so they can enjoy the energy and positivity of the characters I create.

Process

I work primarily with digital illustration in the apps Procreate or Fresco, but I also work with mixed media on canvas and wood. I have also worked on outdoor murals, such as the Boon Street Art Festival, and gallery exhibitions here in Hamilton and Auckland, New Zealand.
